"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." - Winston Churchill

Throughout my four years in VDHS I was able to grow as a student and hopefully into a man with and for others. My freshman year I was able to participate in various programs from the engineering club to even being a member of the JV baseball team. Freshman year I was able to be academically great with a weighted 4.0 during freshman year. I thought that I will continue having that but as said by Winston Churchill, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal" This quote is a part of my academic career as I faced multiple challenges from mental to physical which affected me. This affected both my person and academics causing me to fall behind in my academics and health causing me to leave everything. From not turning in homework to missing multiple classes I was getting worse.

This was until I started to talk with multiple teachers especially Mr. Ashley-Mennis who has supported me showing that "Failure isn't fatal" and that failure is just a step to success. Through this motivation I was invested in mathematics and building machines. Through learning skills like regulating my emotions and Task initiation I joined the cyber patriots in my junior year and during my senior year I studied pre-calculus and also was a member of the new robotics team "Iron Eagles". I was further supported by my senior teachers in which I now know that you need to start strong and you also need to finish strong. Thanks to the constant effort and support of the verb community I now will be further extending my education and pursuing my passion at LMU for engineering!

Throughout my years in the Corporate Work Study program, I’ve had multiple experiences throughout the various companies I've been in. From a lenient internship to a strict work place I have seen the various sides of the corporate world which in turn prepares me for the real world. One of my favorite experiences was at the Capital Group. This was during my sophomore year. This internship showed me a balance and what I should strive for. From guiding me through their tech department to even their marketing section I was exposed to the various fields that I could possibly major in. Through these opportunities I was able to see a clear path to what I wanted to work with, technology. Through finding my passion for tech I would later go intern at the Aerospace Corporation which I originally was afraid to go to, but I was able to fully embrace as an experience in which I was able to grow and adapt to.
